The Food Challenge Project

For the longest time, I’ve only been eating from a small collection of foods, preparing them in different combination with different ingredients and calling them new and unique dishes. Well, it seems like I’ve only tasted such a small piece out of the big food pie. And, especially since I’ve had an amazingly tasty experience with the parsnip challenge, I am super ready to jump out from my comfort zone and try new foods.

Hence, the Food Challenge project is born on A Nutritious Plate!

The challenge: try an unfamiliar food or a food that I have detested in the past and explore different preparation methods to find out  the best ways to enjoy it.

The goal: learn about new foods – shine new light on the culinary landscape and spoil my taste buds by discovering more delicious flavours!

The foods that I have explored so far:

  1. Red Cabbage
  2. Dates (Part one, Part two)
  3. Wheat berries
  4. Sardines
  5. Leeks
  6. Kale
  7. Zucchini
  8. Homemade Walnut Butter
  9. Dried figs
  10. Feta Cheese
